Top of the Class Congratulations on their achievements this year go to: Nikki Levy – OCR Level 3 Management Nick Wilkinson – OCR Level 3 Customer Service Charlie Gotch – NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care Further first aid courses are ongoing and staff will also be taking part in additional training including Challenging Behaviour, Person Centred Approaches and Dignity in Care. A quick round up Once again we have held a number of stalls at various events and local companies including Mother’s Day at Walkwood and Alvechurch schools, GKN, TSB (We are their charity of choice for the coming year) and a number of gardening clubs. We have been selected for the ASDA ‘green token scheme’ in the Redditch store and a group from Belly Jewel raised an amazing £800 by holding a belly dancing Hafla on our behalf. This year we had two groups of students taking part in the NCS programme spend time at our sites and then hold fundraising events on our behalf. This was a great experience for all involved and helps raise awareness of our charity to the younger members of our local community. A Big Where Next Welcome to Chelsea Bushell who joins the team at Redditch covering for Jeanette Carter who is currently on maternity leave following the birth of baby Oliver in August and Heather Poole who joins the team at Spernal. We also welcome Judy Clifford, Shirley Nash, Lucy Hatfield, Susan Stokes and Daniel Wilkinson who have all joined our much appreciated team of volunteers. Farewell and Good Luck Goes to Chris Stroud, Chris Leng, Alison Fisher, Rory Mansell-Shelton and Jess Mills - We wish them all well for the future. We also said goodbye to Ann Pyne who had been a volunteer at Where Next for over 25 years. As a thank you, Ann was presented with a gold watch at our recent AGM.
