As they say, things come in three’s……… finally we were short listed by Tesco Bags of Help to receive Community Project funding for our Spernal Edible Garden Project. This will be starting in the New Year and will enable us to clear and develop land to the right of our poly tunnels so that clients can grow fruit and vegetable which will then be used for activities in the new kitchen as part of our healthy eating and lifestyles projects. Feeling Flush Not to be totally out done by Spernal, our Redditch site has also seen big improvements to facilities……….literally this year!!! After over 30 years, it was about time that our original four toilets were brought up to scratch. So, the team from Elite set about modernising and bringing up to the necessary standards. Again, the results are fantastic and now there is nowhere for the spiders to hide which is a great relief!! What a fantastic result!! In true Team GB Olympic style the team from Redditch Nurseries did well at the West Midlands Network Flower Show last September, but this year they did even better walking away with 11 medals….. 3 gold’s, 3 silver and 5 bronze. Congratulations to all involved in this fantastic result. Our very own Nick Houghton who manages Redditch Nurseries, also won a Pride of Redditch award for his services to Redditch, including Redditch in Bloom, working with people with LD and preserving the local Doddin apple trees (which, if you didn’t know you can buy from our shop).
