b'Patrons foreword: Andrew DaviesThis is my third year as Patron of Warwickshire Open Studios and once again I am staggered by this explosion of creativity in our beautiful county.Amazingly, this is the twentieth year that the Coventry and Warwickshire artists should have opened their studios to the public, and this year there were going to be more exhibitions than ever to see. It is such a shame that the Summer Art Weeks have been cancelled, but I know they will be back again next year to welcome you. I urge everyone to continue to support your local artists by taking a look at their info online and maybe even buying something. Its good for the soul!Andrew Davies is a writer of screenplays and novels, best known for House of Cards and A Very Peculiar Practice, his adaptations of Vanity Fair, Pride and Prejudice, Middlemarch, War & Peace, Les Miserables and his recent production Sanditon. He was made a BAFTA Fellow in 2002. Andrew lives in Kenilworth with his wife, artist Diana Davies.Be inspiredwostudios.orgRun by local artist volunteers to promote the talented artists of Coventry and Warwickshire.'
